Jane Mowat: Projects

The brilliance of glass as it catches light, is made more intense when seen from within a dark forest.

Light that carries the soul upwards, a ladder that will never serve as a ladder, made of fragile material that could shatter, but nevertheless holds the shape of hands and feet that might have climbed it.

Three ladders, each seeking the light, leaning the same way, each slightly smaller than the next, resting on trees of varied widths.

If you catch it right, the light held in the glass will melt into the light between the trees. A mirage, phantoms, a vision.
